For Roku Devices

This is because these devices are not designed to be turned off. Instead, they are supposed to be connected to the Internet to keep your device’s operating system and other apps updated. Despite this, Roku devices actually consume very little power.
However, for troubleshooting, to restart your Roku device, these are the steps:
- First, press the Home Button five (5) times on your remote
- Then, press the Up Arrow once
- Next, hit the Rewind Button twice
- Lastly, press the Fast Forward button twice
This will automatically restart your Roku after a few moments, and then you can attempt to open the Apple TV app again. Another way to restart your Roku device is by going to System from your Home Screen. From there, scroll down and click System Restart and select Restart.
Note: Depending on the type of Roku device you’re using, the process of rebooting your Roku device may differ. It can be shutting it off and turning it back on, as mentioned. Alternatively, you may need to disconnect it from the power and then reconnect it once again (Power Cycling).
For Samsung TVs
Hold the power button down on your TV remote for more than 5 seconds. If you do not have the TV remote, unplug the TV for 30 seconds, plug it back in, then turn it on again.
For Amazon Fire TVs and Android TVs
The first method is to press and hold the Select and Play or Pause buttons simultaneously for five seconds.
The second method is to go to Settings > Device and then select Restart from the Fire TV menu. Subsequently, just wait for your device to turn on. You can use this second method if you’re using an Android TV.
For Vizio TV
The steps to restart your VIZIO device are as follows:
- For starters, press the menu button on your TV remote.

This is because it can reset the power source in the streaming device and clear up the device’s RAM. The steps to power cycle your streaming device are simple:
Simply turn off your streaming device and unplug all the cables, mainly the power cord and HDMI cable. Then, wait for 1 to 2 minutes before plugging the wires back correctly and turning on your device.
9. Reset Your Remote Control
Moreover, the Apple TV+ buffer issue may also be caused by a problem with your remote. In most cases, if your remote is not working, simply recharge the batteries using a lightning cable for 30 minutes or so before trying it again.

10. Use the Smart TV Remote App on Your Mobile Device or Tablet
Suppose you’re using the mobile remote app for your Smart TV. Then, the error may be due to issues with your input device instead of the Apple TV+ app or the streaming device itself. Hence, ensuring that the app is connected to your Smart TV correctly is important.
When using the remote app for your respective Smart TV on your mobile or tablet, there are a few things to keep in mind:
Ensure Your Mobile Device and Smart TV are Connected to the Same Wi-Fi Network
For starters, you should ensure that your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Smart TV. To verify this on your mobile device or tablet, simply pull down the notification shade and long-press the Wi-Fi button. It will redirect you to the Wi-Fi Settings page. From there, you can identify which Wi-Fi network you’re connected to. For your Smart TV, click the Home button on your TV remote. Then, go to Settings and select Network > Network Status. Suppose you’re using a dual-band router. Then, the two devices must be on the same band.
Disconnect Any VPN Connections
Plus, avoid using a VPN connection when using mobile remote apps for your Smart TV. This is because some VPNs may route all applications through it, causing your Smart TV to not display the mobile remote app.
Configure the Smart TV Settings to Allow Remote App to Connect

Perhaps your TV does not support the Apple TV+ app. Hence, you’re playing Apple TV+ content on a different device, such as your iOS mobile device, tablet, or web browser. Then, you can mirror the content to your TV using an HDMI connection.
This practice may cause buffering issues when streaming on Apple TV+. This is because Apple TV+ doesn’t support mirroring connections. The service must run on one of the supported devices listed in this article. Similarly, the browser viewing of Apple TV+ is also meant to be watched on that computer itself as well.
Nevertheless, you may try troubleshooting the HDMI connection by re-plugging it, reversing the connection, or using a different cable.
You may also consider using Airplay to mirror or screencast your Apple TV+ stream. This applies if you’re streaming using an Apple device (iPhone, iPad, Macbook) and your display or TV supports airplay. Airplay makes streaming or screen casting your shows, videos, and even just your device screen to a larger screen (e.g., Apple TV, iMac, AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV) seamlessly and optimally.
12. Test Your Wi-Fi or Internet Connection
Next, when streaming Apple TV+, it’s essential to ensure that you’re connected to an Internet connection to avoid issues such as Apple TV+ not loading. That being said, For a smooth Apple TV+ streaming experience, Apple recommends a 2.5 Mbps download or connection speed for standard-definition (SD) viewing, 6Mbps for 720p content, and 8 Mbps for 1080p high-definition (HD) content. However, the minimum Internet speed required will increase with the number of concurrent streams.
Test Your Internet Speed

Forget and Reconnect Your Wi-Fi Network
For starters, you can try reconnecting your Wi-Fi connection. This is because it allows your device software and access points to reset all the protocols involved. It works because your devices are better tested for initial connection than maintaining long term connections.
With that said, you can simply do so by turning the Wi-Fi setting off and on again via the notification shade.
Else, you can also attempt to forget your Wi-Fi network on your streaming device. The following are the general steps to do so:
- To start, go to Settings.
- Then, select the Wi-Fi option.
- Next, click on the Wi-Fi you are connected to.
- Subsequently, choose the Forget this Network option.
- After 2 to 3 minutes, reconnect to the Wi-Fi network again.
Reset Network Settings
In another scenario, if you notice your Internet connection constantly drops and reconnects, then you should do a Wi-Fi network connection reset. This step allows you to fix your Internet connection without having to meddle with other device settings.
However, the steps may vary across different brands of streaming devices:
- First, go to Settings and tap General.
- Then, select Transfer or Reset [Device].
- Next, choose Reset.
- Finally, tap on Reset Network Settings.

Restart Your Router or Modem
The purpose of restarting the router or modem is to give them time to cool off and flush out its memory. However, do keep in mind that rebooting is not the same as resetting. When it comes to rebooting your network devices, whether a router or a modem, the sequence makes all the difference.
These are the steps to do so:
- To begin with, turn off and unplug the power from your router or the modem and any other managed network hardware such as network switches.
- Then, wait at least 30 seconds before proceeding. These 30 seconds allow the devices to cool down and signal your ISP and streaming devices that the router and modem are offline.
- Next, plug in the modem. The modem should power on in the first few seconds. However, if it doesn’t, just press the Power button.
- After that, wait another 60 seconds for the modem to authenticate and get assigned a public IP address from your ISP.

However, when positioning your router, there are also a few places you should avoid. For one, avoid putting it behind physical barriers such as furniture that can block your Wi-Fi signals.
Secondly, don’t put your router near wireless devices such as microwaves and cordless phones. The devices emit electromagnetic waves that can interfere with your Wi-Fi signal.
Disconnect Unused Devices From your Network
Moreover, to get the most bandwidth when streaming Apple TV+ content, you can also disconnect any unused devices connected to the same internet. For better troubleshooting accuracy, we also suggest having others pause their network activities for the time being.
Switching to Standard Definition
Furthermore, in cases where you have a fluctuating connection, you can lower your stream quality to 720p or standard definition. This is because these video resolutions require less internet bandwidth than streaming at 1080p or 4K.
To do so, for content you stream from the iTunes Store, simply head to the Settings menu > iTunes Store > Video Resolution.
13. Try Streaming on Other Streaming Services
Another method to troubleshoot the cause of the Apple TV+ not loading or other buffering issues is to try streaming on other streaming services like Netflix. When troubleshooting, it’s important to note that other streaming services will adapt to your Internet connection and can adjust to a very low rate.
In contrast, Apple TV+ uses a fixed rate and tends to stream at a higher quality. Hence, it requires a higher consistent connection. That indicates that other streaming services working doesn’t rule out network issues (Step 12).
Under the assumption that your internet connection is stable, suppose the issue persists on other streaming services as well. Then, it may be an issue with your streaming device.
However, if the problem only occurs with Apple TV+, we recommend contacting Apple Support (Step 24) for further assistance and guidance. You can also continue diagnosing to see whether it is an issue with a specific title on Apple TV+ (Step 14).
14. Check for Buffer Issues on Other Apple TV+ Titles
Furthermore, we suggest checking for buffer issues on another Apple TV+ title. This is because there may be a problem with the original/initial title you’ve selected, as it may not be available in your region yet (Step 3).
It could also be because the movie selected is experiencing heavy demands at the moment. Hence, the Apple servers are unable to keep up and transmit the needed content files in time (Step 1).
Additionally, the audio or visual files obtained may be corrupted or incompatible with your device. To verify this possibility, simply pick another Apple TV+ title at random and check for any loading issues. Feel free to repeat this step with a few other shows for extra assurance.
Suppose the buffer issue only occurs for a specific title. In that case, we suggest reporting the issue to Apple Support (Step 24). However, if the Apple TV+ stream keeps buffering no matter what title you pick, you may want to continue trying other fixes.
15. Stream Apple TV+ on a Different Device
At this point, we have ruled out the chances of the issue coming from a specific title. Nevertheless, another possible cause for the issues of Apple TV+ not loading may be an underlying problem with your streaming device.
For example, many users have been experiencing trouble streaming Apple TV+ content on their Roku devices. To investigate this matter, you can switch streaming devices, and from there, look out for any buffer issues on the new device.
Suppose the new device loads Apple TV+ correctly. In that case, you can settle with that device temporarily. As for your old device, the problem may be because it isn’t supported by Apple TV+.
For instance, the Apple TV+ app has been made available on Android TVs but not on Android mobile and tablet devices as well as Windows PCs. So, suppose you try to stream on these devices, you may encounter buffer problems. A few supported Smart TV brands include LG, Roku, Sony, Samsung, and definitely Apple TV itself. For more specific details on which models are supported, you may refer to this article.
However, suppose the loading issue still occurs on the new device. If so, it may not be an issue with your device. With that said, you can move on to other fixes or proceed to report the Apple TV+ not loading or playing as a usual problem to Apple Support (Step 24).
Note: Other devices working do not rule out a network issue. Those issues can come at any time and are also generally intermittent.
16. Try Streaming on Another Web Browser
Suppose you’re facing loading issues when using a web browser to stream Apple TV+, such as on an Android mobile device or tablet. In that case, a troubleshooting method you can try is to stream on another web browser. This step can help to identify if your original web browser is the cause of Apple TV+ not loading or playing as usual problems.
Perhaps the Apple TV+ content loads correctly on the new web browser. In that case, there are a few likelihoods regarding your original web browser that you can look into.
For starters, your web browser may be incompatible or unable to support the Apple TV+ website. With the various browsers available, Apple has prepared an article on how to stream Apple TV+ on web browsers. In the article, it is specifically mentioned to stream on the Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers. However, Microsoft Edge and Safari are also supported. Apart from the browsers mentioned, if you’re streaming on any other browser, it may not be supported. For your convenience, we have also inserted the link to the Apple TV+ website here.
Additionally, other browser-related problems that may lead to buffer issues on the Apple TV+ are:
- You have adblockers and other unsupported extensions enabled on your web browser (Step 17)
- Your web browser is outdated and cannot process new content retrieved from the servers (Step 18)
- There is unwanted internet cache and data on your web browser (Step 23)
17. Disable the AdBlock Extension on Your Web Browser
Moreover, extensions can also cause loading issues on Apple TV+ as it disrupts the normal operations of the streaming service’s website. One of the commonly used extensions are adblockers, as they prevent advertisements from popping up on the site. This extension can obstruct the advertising videos inserted in the middle of movies and even mistakenly disable certain elements or disrupt scripts on the Apple TV+ website.
That being said, to disable the adblock extension, you can follow these steps. Do take note that the steps may vary depending on the type of browser you’re using:
Steps to Disable the AdBlock Extension
For Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Microsoft Edge (Windows)
- First, visit the Apple TV+ web page.
- Then, click the AdBlock icon on the top-right of your browser. A drop-down menu will appear.
- Then, select Always under the Pause on this site section.
- At this point, the web page should refresh. The AdBlock icon should turn from red to green. This change indicates that AdBlock is disabled for Apple TV+.
- Finally, refresh the Apple TV+ page (Step 7) again if necessary.
Note: While Chrome and Microsoft Edge support both AdBlock and AdBlock Plus, Firefox no longer supports AdBlock. However, the steps to disable other ad blocker extensions are similar.
- First, open up your Safari browser.
- Then, click on Safari, located in the menu bar.
- Next, select Preferences. The Preferences window will be displayed.
- Subsequently, click on the Extensions button. A list of all extensions you’ve installed to Safari will appear.
- After that, navigate to and click on AdBlock/AdBlock Plus in the list of extensions in the left pane.
- Finally, toggle the On button to Off in the Preferences window. AdBlock/AdBlock Plus will then be temporarily disabled, until the customer decides they want the extension re-enabled.
Steps to Turn Off Other Extensions on Your Web Browser
While you’re at it, we recommend checking for other enabled browser extensions, plugins, and add-ons as well. The reason is that they can also impede and affect troubleshooting results. Therefore, you should temporarily disable all of them when troubleshooting the Apple TV+ not loading or buffering issues.
On that note, you can follow the steps below to disable web browser extensions:
For Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Mozilla Firefox (Windows)
- Firstly, click the 3 dots at the upper-right, hover over More tools, and click Extensions.
- On the Extensions page, under the extension, you wish to disable, turn the switch off.
For Safari (macOS)
- With Safari launched, from the Menu Bar, select Safari and click Preferences.
- At the next window, choose Extensions from the top bar.
- To disable a Safari extension, uncheck the box next to the particular extension.
18. Make Sure Your Web Browser is Up-to-Date
As previously mentioned, if you’re on a web browser, Apple clearly states to stream Apple TV+ on either Chrome or Firefox. However, they didn’t mention the minimum version required to get an error-free streaming experience.
Hence, we recommend updating your web browser to the latest version for assurance. This effort will ensure that your web browser can interpret even the newest audio and video data, avoiding loading and buffering errors on your Apple TV+ stream.
To update your web browser, follow these steps:
For Google Chrome
- For starters, open Chrome on your device.
- Then, look at the More icon on the top right corner.
- Next, check if pending updates are available. If an update is pending, the icon will be colored. The color of the icon indicates how long the update has been released.
- Subsequently, if an update is available, click on the More icon.
- Finally, click Update Google Chrome. If you can’t find this button, your browser is up to date.
For Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox
- First, launch the web browser.
- Then, click on the main menu button in the top right corner.
- Next, select Help (Firefox) or Help & Feedback (Edge).
- After that, click About Modzilla Firefox or About Microsoft Edge.
- From there, the browser will automatically check and download the available updates.
Once the browsers are updated, don’t forget to relaunch the browser to configure the updates.
19. Check for Pending Streaming Device Updates, Contact the Streaming Device Manufacturer for Support
Additionally, outdated device software can also lead to buffering issues when streaming Apple TV+ movies. This is because Apple developers may have updated the Apple TV+ app and changed its ways of connecting to the servers. Plus, your device may be unable to process new video and audio formats used in Apple TV+ programs.
For Apple TV+, Apple didn’t specify the minimum device requirements needed for smooth streaming. Hence, we recommend just installing any pending software updates released by your device manufacturers when faced with Apple TV+ not loading or buffering issues.
The general steps to do so are as follows and may vary slightly across devices:
- First, back up important data and plug the device into a power source.
- Next, connect the device to a Wi-Fi connection.
- Then, launch the Settings app.
- From there, select General and choose Software Update.
- Suppose an update is available. Then, download the update and install it.
- Finally, reboot your device.
- First, open the Settings app, scroll down, and select System.
- After that, choose System Update.
- Then, on this page, you can tap Check for update to search for pending updates.
Note: These steps may differ between Android devices depending on your phone’s model and current OS version. However, you should find the steps are generally like the above.
- First, click the Apple menu.
- Then, choose System Preference. The number of available updates, if any, will be shown next to System Preference.
- Next, click Software Update.
- At this point, you can select Upgrade Now to manually update your macOS version.
- To automate this process, select Automatically keep my Mac up to date.
- Subsequently, under advance update options, you can do any of the following:
- Check updates automatically, select Check for Updates.
- Download updates automatically, select Download new updates when available.
- Install macOS updates automatically, select Install macOS updates.
- Install system files and security updates automatically, select Install system data files and security updates.
- Lastly, click OK.
Note: For MacBook, MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air, they must have the power adapter plugged in to automatically download updates.
- For starters, click the Start button.
- Then, choose Settings.
- Next, under Settings, select Update & Security.
- Subsequently, select Windows Update.
- Finally, click Check for Updates.
From there, you should allow Windows to check for any available updates. Windows will proceed to install any pending updates available for your PC.
For Smart TVs
- First, navigate to Settings.
- Then, select Support and choose Software Update.
- Next, suppose there are pending updates, select Update Now. Else, click OK to exit.
- Finally, select Auto Update to turn it on.
During the update, you shouldn’t turn off the TV until the update is complete. When the update is finished, your Smart TV will restart automatically. For Samsung TVs, Auto Update is turned on automatically when you agree to the Smart Hub Terms and Conditions in the initial setup.
Note: Most TVs will get updates with new features for about two years. Updates may still come but will generally be for fixing issues. You can still add new features to your TV with an evolution kit. Some TVs don’t come with software updates, especially older or cheaper models. Their software version will remain as it is and will not receive updates. Therefore, some of you may find this fix irrelevant for your TVs.
For Other Set-Top Boxes and Smart TVs

Note: Some TVs don’t have software updates, especially older or cheaper models. Their software version will remain as it is and will not receive updates. Therefore, some of you may find this fix irrelevant for your older-generation TVs.
Downloading and Installing Updates From Device Manufacturer’s Website
Another way to update your device software is to contact the device manufacturer for support. To find contact information for a product’s vendor or developer, visit their website or search the web for their name or their product.
Occasionally, you may also be able to find the firmware file for your device on the manufacturer’s website. These files can be downloaded and later installed on your Smart TV using a USB flash drive.
The steps to do so are as follows:
- First, after heading to the manufacturer’s website, search for your TV or enter your model number. This will bring you to the support page for your specific TV.
- Then, locate the firmware file under Downloads and find the latest version.
- Next, select Download next to the firmware version to download the compressed file.
- After that, in your File Explorer, locate and unzip the file.
- Subsequently, copy or move the folder into a USB drive. Do not place this folder inside any other folders, or your TV won’t be able to detect it.
- Then, connect the USB drive to your TV and follow the steps for installing updates for Smart TVs above.
- Finally, your TV will search the USB file for update files, and you’ll need to follow on-screen instructions to install them.
20. Clear the Apple TV App Cache and Data Files
Moreover, another fix we suggest trying is clearing the Apple TV app cache and data files. This is because built-up cache memory can occupy memory space on your device. Consequently, it can potentially deteriorate your device’s performance. Some of the cached data may also be corrupted, leading to bugs and ultimately issues like Apple TV not loading.
Hence, to resolve this issue, you can follow these steps to clear the Apple TV app cache and data.
For Android TVs, and some set-top boxes like Amazon Firestick, you can clear all the Apple TV app data through the Settings app. To navigate to these settings:
- Firstly, open the Settings app
- Then, tap on Apps & notifications.
- Next, select Apple TV from the list of apps.
- After that, tap Storage & cache.
- Lastly, start by tapping Clear Cache, and then you can choose Clear Storage.

21. Reinstall the Apple TV App
Furthermore, you can also reinstall the Apple TV app to fix the loading and buffering problem. The reason for this fix is that reinstalling the app will remove all corrupted files and faulty or corrupted installations associated with the app. It also gives you the newest and latest copy of the Apple TV app. This step is also a way to clear the Apple TV app cache and data files, especially if you’re using an iOS device.
That being said, to reinstall the Apple TV app, simply follow these steps:
For iOS, iPadOS, and Android Devices
- First, uninstall the Apple TV+ app. This can be done by long-pressing for the selection menu.
- Then, select Uninstall or Remove App.
- Next, you can opt to restart your device or straight go to your App Store to install the Apple TV+ app.
Note: When uninstalling the Apple TV+ app on your Mac device, you may be asked for a username and password. Just enter the username and password you use to log in to your Mac.
For Smart TVs
- Firstly, from your Smart TV home screen, navigate to Settings.
- Then, under Devices, select Apps.
- Next, find the Apple TV+ app in the Downloaded Apps section.
- Finally, select Uninstall and click OK.
For Roku Devices
On Roku devices, streaming service apps such as the Apple TV+ are known as channels. The following are steps to remove the Apple TV+ channel from your Roku device:
- First, press the Home Button on your remote.
- Next, move to the right until you highlight the Apple TV app.
- After that, press the Star Button on your remote to open the Options Menu.
- Subsequently, select Remove Channel and confirm.
From there, to reinstall the Apple TV+ channel, simply follow these steps:
- First, press the Home button on your Roku remote to access the Home screen.
- Next, navigate to Streaming Channels and click OK to access the Roku Channel Store.
- Then, search for the Apple TV+ channel using the Search function.
- Lastly, select Add Channel, and a Channel added message will appear.
- You can access the Apple TV+ channel immediately by clicking Go to Channel or access it anytime from your Home screen.
Note: Deleting the Apple TV+ app will not cancel any subscriptions you may have purchased with the app. You can still retrieve your account using your Apple ID and password.
22. Delete Your Web Browser Cache
Perhaps you’re streaming on a web browser. It’s also important to clear your web browser cache to get new updates released for the Apple TV+ web page to curb streaming and buffering issues that lead to Apple TV+ not loading or playing as usual.
This is because with the cached files cleared, your browser will request new assets from the Apple servers. These new assets include the new features and necessary bug fixes for the site.
As a result, communication problems between the Apple TV+ website and the servers, such as mismatched formatting and broken programs, can be avoided.
With that said, the steps to clear your web browser’s cache are as follows:
The following steps are catered for Google Chrome. However, if you’re using a different web browser on Windows (Firefox, Edge), the steps are still similar:
- You can access your browsing history by pressing Ctrl + H together. Or click the menu button at the top-right and choose History at the drop-down.
- On the following page, click the Clear Browsing Data button. For Google Chrome, that’ll be on the left.
- Next, under Basic, check all options. Plus, you should select a time range of All time. Then, click Clear Data.
- First, with Safari launched, from the Menu Bar, click Safari and select “Preferences…”
- At the following window, choose Advanced from the top bar, and tick the box next to “Show Develop menu in bar.”
- Subsequently, from the Menu Bar, click Develop, and select Empty Caches.
- After that, you can clear your search history and even more Site Data and Cookies. To do this, from the Menu Bar, click Safari, and choose “Clear History…”.
- Lastly, click Clear History at the following window.
23. Reset the Streaming Device Settings to Factory Defaults
Suppose you have tried all the fixes in this article, but you still have the same problems of Apple TV+ not loading or playing as usual. Then, one of your last resorts before contacting Apple Support (Step 24) is to factory reset your device.
Restoring it back to factory conditions will wipe out all your settings and stored data, along with the sign-in information for all apps. However, it can help to free your device from any corrupted codes and restore it to working condition.
When you’re ready, follow these instructions to reset your device:
Note: Before performing any factory reset on your devices, ensure that you remember or have access to your login information for the apps on your device. This is because you’ll be signed out of all the apps. Additionally, for Samsung devices, you’ll also require your TV pin.
- First, navigate to Settings and tap General.
- Then, scroll to the bottom of the General page and tap Reset.
- Next, choose Reset All Settings.
- After that, you’ll be prompted to enter your passcode.
- Finally, click Erase to confirm.
Note: You can back up your iOS device to iCloud first before resetting your device. In that case, you won’t lose any unsaved data. Plus, you can easily restore your iOS device and get all your data and information back.
- For starters, from the Settings app, scroll down and select System.
- Next, choose Resets options and select Erase all data (Factory reset).
- Lastly, on the following pages, again, choose Erase all data.
For Samsung TVs
For Samsung TVs, factory resetting is known as a Smart Hub reset. The steps to carry this out are stated as below:
- First, navigate to Settings and click Support
- Then, under Support, click Self Diagnosis and select Reset Smart Hub.
- Finally, to confirm the reset, enter the PIN for your TV. Suppose you never set up a pin for your Samsung TV, in that case, the default pin is 0000.
For Roku Devices
To perform a factory reset on your Roku device, there are two ways around it: the soft method and the hard method.
Starting with the soft method, the steps to do so are as follow:
- First, press the Home button on your Roku remote.
- Then, scroll up or down to locate and click the Settings option.
- Subsequently, select System and click Advanced System Settings.
- Then, click Factory Reset.
- From there, you’ll be given a special code. To confirm that you want to proceed with the factory reset, key in the code provided.
- Lastly, the factory reset should take place.
However, suppose your Roku device isn’t responding to your remote commands. In that case, we suggest using the hardware factory reset as a final resort by following these steps:
- To begin, find the reset button on your Roku device.
- Then, press and hold the reset button for 20 seconds.
- Finally, release the reset button when the power indicator lights on the Roku device blink rapidly. This indicates that the factory reset is complete.
Suppose you couldn’t locate the reset button on your Roku device. Then, you can use these steps instead:
- First, press the Mute and Power button simultaneously and hold them.
- Then, unplug the Roku device power cord and plug it back in.
- After that, wait for the device’s startup screen to come back and release the buttons.
For Other Set-Top Boxes and Smart TVs
