Ways to Chat With a Seller on Taobao
There are two ways to chat with your seller where you can:
Chat with Seller when Viewing Product
For Desktop PC Users (Windows & macOS)
- At the product you are viewing, click on the “和我联系” button (as circled in the picture).
- Then, when you are in the chat page, click on the button “发送宝贝链接” and then only proceed to send your question to ask the seller about that product by clicking on “发送”. The reason why you need to click on the 发送宝贝链接 is so that the seller would know what product you are asking.
For Mobile App Users (Android & iOS)
- At the product you are viewing at, tap at the “客服” button (as shown in the picture).
- Then, tap on “发送商品” before sending any messages. The reason why you need to click on the 发送商品 is so that the seller would know what product you are asking.
- Lastly, type the message you want to send and tap on “发送” to send.
Chat with Seller When an Order is Placed
For Desktop PC Users (Windows & macOS)
- You can go to “我的淘宝”
- Then click on “已买到的宝贝”, followed by “和我联系” (highlighted in yellow) at the order you want to ask the seller .
- Then you can start asking the seller questions about the order by typing your message and clicking on the blue button, “发送”.
For Mobile App Users (Android & iOS)
- First, go to 我的淘宝
- Find your order by tapping on “全部“ and find your order.
- Tap on “联系卖家” if you have found the order you want to ask about, and you can start messaging the seller.

How to Check Seller Chat History on Taobao?
For Desktop PC Users (Windows & macOS)
- Go to https://pages.tmall.com/wow/qnww/act/index
- Hover to the button shown in the picture and click on the OS you use (such as Windows or Mac).
- After installing, just login to your Taobao account and you may view all your chats with the sellers.
For Mobile App Users (Android & iOS)
- On the Taobao app, go to “消息” to see your chat history.
How to Contact Customer Support on Taobao?
For Desktop PC Users (Windows & macOS)
- First, go to 我的淘宝 and find 联系客服 on the top right corner of the same row that you have clicked on 我的淘宝.
- Hover your mouse on 联系客服 and click on 消费者客服.
- Then you will be redirected to the customer service chatbot.
- If you would like to speak directly with an live agent, you must type “找人工服务” and click on “点击联系”.
For Mobile App Users (Android & iOS)
- First, go to 消息 and find 我的小蜜.
- You can now follow steps 3 to 4 from the earlier part, for Desktop PC Users (Windows & macOS) to proceed.
